I Should Update More Often…
Saturday, September 22nd, 2007Yes, I should update this blog more often. I started this blog with the idea of making a post at least every week. It didn’t happen, did it? OK, guess that’s no big deal as probably no one reads it anyway!
This is September 22nd. Tomorrow morning at 9.51am GMT it is the moment of the Autumnal equinox. After that the sun crosses the celestial equator and stays in the southern hemisphere for six months.
But the weather here in Aldea is still good. It’s cooler with temperatures in the mid 20s or so. It’s dry and sunny today, which is good considering that places to the south of us have been hard hit by floods - Sevilla especially.
After all the summer visitors, Aldea is quiet now. That’s fine. It makes it more manageable. All that people, total strangers every one, it was becoming hard to handle, but in a kinda nice way…
We had the builders on our roof to fix the leak. they said they had fixed it. The next heavy rains will verify that - or not! We were wondering about the bill for the work, but one of our neighbours says that they won’t charge us for such a small job. Really????? My past experience with builders has been VERY different. They charge for everything! We’ll see…
Frank is getting better at speaking Spanish every day. He’s waaaaaaaaaay ahead of me now. I worry about my lack of ability to speak even a sentence. maybe I should practice
