Aldea Kittens…

Aldea Kittens!About five or six weeks ago, three kittens were born in a palm tree across the road from us. We became aware of them when they were around a month old and were starting to explore their little world. They live in the ivy that surrounds part of the palm tree, and now they are scrambling around the roof of the old building that is next to the palm tree.

They are perpetually hungry!

Their mother is about as starved as they are and obviously cannot feed them adequately. I’ve been feeding them bread soaked in milk, which they are loving. But they can’t get enough of it. Yesterday I gave them a little bit of chicken each, and that sent them crazy! Now the bread isn’t good enough for them.

I don’t want to tame them too much, but I do want them to survive. They all look so vulnerable, which they are, and they are quite endearing really. But I fear for their future. It’s a hard world for a cat in the back streets of Aldeacentenera!
