Welcome!
Sunday, May 20th, 2007Welcome to my new blog, Aldea Al Dia. Strictly speaking, “Aldea” means “town” in Spanish, but here it refers to Aldeacentenera, the village I live in, which is locally referred to as Aldea.
So… Aldea Al Dia means something like, Aldea to the day, or Aldea up to the minute, if you like - it’s a play on words and maybe not all that clever. I won’t lay claim to it either as I saw it in a local publication. But the title isn’t copywritten or trademarked, so I’m cheerfully using it!
Keep tuned for all my rants and raves about Spain, Aldea, Shetland (where I used to live), and just about anything and anyplace under the sun
